Access and Credits

Datasets, scripts, and nodes each have an Access & Credits dialog on their details page. Upload forms do not set the full access type or the price.

Access type

  • Public — the item appears in the listing. Others can use it without sending an access request.
  • Restricted — the item appears in the listing. Others must request access first.
  • Private — the item does not appear in the marketplace or script listing.

For datasets you can also require approval before others access experiment results.

Allow Anyone to Download lets people who can view a regular dataset (or access a script) download the file without asking again. Streamed datasets cannot be downloaded.

For nodes, access is Open uploads versus Approved uploaders only. See Restricted certified nodes.

Credit models

Owners choose how credits are charged when others use the resource:

  • Free — no credit charge.
  • Permanent Access — a one-time credit charge; later use is not charged again. Datasets and scripts only.
  • Lease — a one-time charge for a number of days. After the lease ends, the current price applies again.
  • Usage Based — credits are charged each experiment run.

Set a cost of zero or more credits. Lease also needs Lease days.

A platform fee may be taken from what the owner receives. The buyer sees the listed cost.

Credits and experiment cost

You have your own credits. Your organization can have credits too. Members who are allowed to spend organization credits can use those when they buy access or run an experiment.

When you run an experiment, the dialog shows the estimated cost. Those credits are used when the experiment starts.

Open Credits in the left menu to see your balance and history.
